• Before sanitizing the toys, clean them with mild detergent and warm water. Scrub the dirt and debris away and rinse.
• Sanitize the toys by placing them in a sanitizing solution, such as water and bleach. This kind of solution is cheap, easy to use, and quickly becomes harmless as it breaks down.
• For plush or soft toys that are washing machine safe, you can just throw them in the wash. If the toy is too delicate to put in the washer, you can simply clean it with a dish soap and water solution.
• For electronic toys, which are on the rise, you can clean them by wiping them down with a rag soaked with a dish soap and water solution — just be careful that it’s not too wet, or water could seep into the toy. Then wipe the electronic with a household disinfectant.

To keep the littles ones — and yourself! — from contracting or spreading illnesses, make sure you clean children’s toys regularly. The same goes for your own “toys” — regularly disinfect your cell phone, laptop, tablet, etc. to keep your workplace flu–free, pathogen-free, and carefree!
